What to wear
There is no dress code. There are just a few things the camera notices before you do.
Comfort first
Wear outfits you feel comfortable and confident in. If you spend the session adjusting it, it shows.
Earthy tones
Neutral and earthy colours photograph beautifully against Scotland’s landscapes.
Skip the logos
Large logos, busy patterns and neon pull the eye away from the two of you.
Coordinate, don’t match
Outfits that share a palette look better than outfits that twin.
Pack a layer
Scottish weather changes its mind quickly. An extra layer never goes to waste.
Walkable shoes
Some locations are a short walk in. Bring the pretty shoes to change into when we arrive.

What to bring
A small bag covers it.
Water, and lip balm for the wind.
A hairbrush or comb, and a small mirror.
Any props that mean something to you: flowers, a blanket, a bottle of champagne.
Dogs are very welcome on your shoot. Just let us know your furry friend is joining.
These are suggestions, not homework.

Weather
If rain is forecast, don’t worry. Some of Scotland’s most magical photographs are made in mist and light rain.
If the weather turns unsafe, high winds or severe rain, we’ll talk about rescheduling.

Don’t worry about posing
“Most couples tell us they feel awkward in front of a camera. That’s completely normal.”
We guide you through the whole session with simple prompts and natural poses, so you can relax and enjoy each other.
If you have inspiration pictures saved, send them over. We love seeing the vision you have!
